Light heavyweights Eleider Alvarez and Robert Berridge face off July 29, 2016 on PBC on Spike.
Berridge flew from New Zealand to Quebec City last minute to take on Alvarez. Through the first two rounds Alvarez and Berridge keep their distance and feel each other out. Alvarez is unable to capitalize on his jab that he claims is his strong-suit.
Rounds three through six Alvarez and Berridge fail to land any solid punches. Alvarez attempts to work around Berridge’s awkwardness as a southpaw. In the tenth and final round Alvarez attempts to finish off Berridge but the fight goes to the score cards.
