Kevin Gates Goes Platinum (News)

Love him or hate him Kevin Gates has reached the pinnacle of the rap game. After numerous mixtapes and setbacks he finally released his debut album “Islah”. With the success with singles such as “2 Phones” Gates has now reached certified platinum. Gates has shown that he has staying power with both Islah as well as his Murder for Hire 2 mixtape reaching the Billboard Top 200 albums charts.  This is a great accomplishment for the Baton Rouge recording artist and hopefully will open doors for many more of the city’s artists or at least be used as motivation.
